Author Guidelines

The paper sent to our redaction will be considered for publication if meeting the following criteria:
1. SIE is published two editions annually in January and July, in which there are only selected articles will be published in ach issue.
2. Focused on the reviews of related problems in contemporary Islamic Education. Besides, it must be original and based on the research and contributory literature review for the development of Islamic Education.
3. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals.
4. It consists of title, author’s name, institution, email address, abstract, keywords, content, and references.
5. The title must be clear, precise and no more than 15 words.
6. The author need to exclude an academic title.
7. The manuscript should be typed in MS document format with Times New Roman, size 12 pts, A4 paper roughly 5000-7000 words with a single space (see template)
8. All submissions must include 75-250 words abstract and 3-5 keywords. The abstract of the research paper should contain the title, purpose, method, and research finding. Meanwhile, the abstract of non-research paper includes title, purpose, and discussion.
9. The paper will be reviewed and edited without changing any substantial contents
10. Bibliographical reference must be noted in body note and bibliography according APA Style.
11. The author submits the manuscript through the Studies in Islamic Education OJS portal.
12. The manuscript is written in English or Arabic, which fulfills the criteria of excellent and correct writing.
13. The abstract should:
a. Written in English and Arabic.
b. Provides a synopsis of the entire article.
c. Starts with the broad context of the study, followed by specific background for the study.
d. Describes the purpose, methods and procedures, core findings and results, and conclusions of the study.
e. Emphasizes new or essential aspects of the study.
f. Be understandable to a diverse audience (avoid using jargon).
g. Be a single paragraph of fewer than 250 words.
h. Not contain citations or uncommon abbreviations.
